SD Planning has three streams of services that it provides to its clients:
Strategy: Implementation and development mainly for agencies, local and state government
Development: Planning approvals and development advice, including due diligence for the private sector, including developers
Planning: Services and report writing to assist in approval times for local government
Strategy (Development and Implementation)
Working closely with agencies, local and state government we specialise in providing advice to ensure that planning and planning frameworks are robust. Since its establishment, SD Planning has worked to develop positive and effective working relationships with a range of agencies, state government departments and Councils. SD Planning’s experience and strong working relationships with the local councils provide the ability to well founded, innovative strategies as well as implementing realistic findings into the Planning Scheme or other key documents in a workable timeframe.
SD Planning has a reputation for working with Agencies, Local and State Government Agencies in a cost effective and efficient manner.
We have also established a range of education tools to assist educate planners, non planners and Councillors, building their understanding of the process of all facets of town planning.

Development (Services and Planning Approvals)
We work with a range of private sector clients to provide planning advice needs including:
VCAT representation/advocacy
Site selection and development investment advice (due diligence)
Planning permit application preparation, lodgement and management through the approval process in order to obtain planning consent.
Project management of sub-consultant teams required on large scale or complex development applications
Assisting clients to navigate the Victorian planning system from project inception through to realisation
Assistance with enforcement matters where possible breaches of the Planning Scheme have occurred

SD Planning have worked to achieve approval for multi-lot subdivisions within the PSP areas in the Drouin-Warragul corridor. These subdivisions have ranged in size from 80-450 lots. Work undertaken by SD Planning has included development of:

Planning (Services for Local Government)
We work with local government and the state government to streamline their planning approvals as well as to assist with report writing to hasten approval times.
We offer VCAT and Planning Panel representation as well as expert witness representation. We also provide business and process analysis for local government clients to assist them with achieving efficiency gains in their internal processes.
